Mattura Sam is a Richmond-based illustrator and designer holding a BFA in Communication Arts from VCUarts 2018. An avid fan of metal, punk, and psychedelic rock, Mattura’s primary illustration aesthetics are a mix of bizarre, surreal and harsh with a focus on symbolism and symmetry. Having picked up some graphic design skills during school and after graduation in the professional world, Mattura also has a love for typographic design and seeks to combine all of his passions together by creating posters and record covers.
